Every year, the College of Science of U.P. Diliman recognizes its students who have excelled in their academic subjects. In the University, they are called University Scholars (US) and College Scholars (CS). Among them are 6 undergraduates and a graduate student of Photonics Research Laboratory.
The classification scheme is based on the student’s general weighted average (GWA) in a semester. University Scholars are those with GWA of 1.45 and above while College Scholars have a GWA of 1.75 to 1. 46.
Among our student members, the University Scholars are Einstom Engay (2nd sem, A.Y.13-14, 1st sem A.Y. 14-15), Roseanne Novesteras (1st sem), Rommil Emperado (1st sem) and Mario Onglao (1st sem). Our College Scholars are Dylan Salcedo (1st sem A.Y. 14-15), Gerald Doblado (2nd sem A.Y. 13-14) and Mario Ongalo (2nd sem). Mr. Joseph De Mesa, a graduate student, is also CS in the 2nd semester of A.Y. 13-14.
